Checkdomains joins SedoMLS
Sedo, the world’s largest domain marketplace and monetization provider, today announced that the German domain and web hosting company, Checkdomain, has joined its multi-listing service, SedoMLS. In addition, Checkdomain is the first registrar worldwide to utilize Sedo’s new Partner Listing Process in which a registrar’s clients can conveniently post domains for sale onto the Sedo network through a custom interface on the registrar’s site. Without leaving the site, clients can now list domains for sale at Sedo with just a few clicks. To begin using the service, clients must log in to an existing Sedo user account or create a new one, which can also be easily done through the custom interface on the registrar’s site.
Through its partnership with Sedo, Checkdomain makes selling domains easier than ever for its clients. After selecting domains they wish to list for sale from their portfolio, Sedo offers tools to help them easily navigate the listing and sales process. For example, to assist with difficult pricing decisions, Sedo’s price suggestion tool provides sellers with free estimates on the value of their domain names. This new automated feature is a first-of-its-kind in the domain industry and can assist sellers by proposing optimized fixed prices based on key characteristics of their domain names. By using fixed prices, sellers significantly increase their chances of quickly selling their domains. Once domains are listed, they appear immediately on Sedo’s marketplace as well as in the SedoMLS Premium Network, which includes 650 additional global sales partners.
Purchases are handled seamlessly via Sedo and domains are quickly and automatically transferred to their new owner.
"We are delighted to be the first partner offering our customers Sedo’s Partner Listing Process," says John Herold, Managing Director of Checkdomain. “This new service enables Checkdomains’ clients to more easily buy domains while also increasing their chances of selling. It’s a fact that most users initially check the availability of a domain through their registrar, so partnering with Sedo increases the chance that these people will find a domain that meets their needs on the first search.”
“We hope to see more registrars follow the example of Checkdomain by integrating fully with the SedoMLS Premium network including the Partner Listing Process,” said Tobias Flaitz, CEO at Sedo. “Registrars that allow both sales and purchases via the SedoMLS Premium network become an even more valuable resource for their clients.”
